Senate Passes PPP Loan Extension, Bill Now Requires Action by the House

Hours before the program was set to expire, the Senate passed legislation to allow the Small Businesses Administration to continue to accept Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan applications until August 8. There is about $130 billion in unspent money remaining in the PPP. The legislation was approved via unanimous consent in the Senate and now heads to the House for consideration and a vote.
