For those contractors working in Massachusetts, the Dept. of Unemployment Assistance (DUA) has sent out a notice to all MA employers asking employers to file their quarterly wages by the standard April 30, 2020 deadline in order to continue paying claimants. If your business has been severely impacted by COVID-19 and are not able to file and pay quarterly wages by April 30th, you may submit a written request on company letterhead, by email to Revenue.Enforcement@detma.org for a 60-day extension, specifying how you've been impacted. Approved requests will be relieved from Q1 of 2020 interest and penalties through June 30, 2020. Please click here to read the notice for further details
