The purpose of the event is to develop partnerships with Prime/Tier-1 firms who are seeking partnerships on the upcoming bid release. The session will take place from 9:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Albany Capital Center (55 Eagle Street, Albany, NY) The Life Sciences Public Health Laboratory project consolidates five existing facilities throughout the Capital District of New York into one new building on the Governor W. Averell Harriman State Office Building Campus in Albany, New York. This new facility will be home to NYS Department of Health’s Wadsworth Center, which includes the Division of Environmental Health Sciences, Division of Genetics, Division of Infectious Diseases, and Division of Lab Quality Certification. ?In addition to the laboratory space needed for the advancement of the Department of Health’s mission, the building will include a central utility plant, a shipping, storage, and material handling facility, and administrative offices. The anatomy of the planned 655,600-square-foot building will include: Shallow spread footing foundations Steel braced frame five-story superstructure Aluminum and glass façade Various roofing systems, including KEE Type and SBS Gypsum wallboard partitions and architectural finishes Mechanical and electrical systems to support laboratory operations
