ECA Receives Veterans Award

The Tri-County Council of Vietnam Era Veterans recently honored Eastern Contractors Association with its Col. Charles R. Johnson Boonie Hat Award, given in recognition of the Association’s dedicated service to area veterans.
 
Some of ECA’s efforts include annual clean-up and maintenance of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the Gold Star Families Memorial in Albany’s Lafayette Park and more than 10 years of financial support of the Capt. John J. McKenna IV Military Courtesy Room at Albany Airport.
 
The award’s namesake was a 1955 West Point graduate and Vietnam commander who donated his time and expertise to the veterans in the Tri-County.
