Eastern Contractors Association, Inc. is holding its Annual Reception on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Franklin Plaza, located at 4 Fourth Street (corner of 4th and Grand), Troy, NY, commencing at 6 p.m. We'll be on the third floor with access to the rooftop terrace for a memorable night celebrating another successful year. We look forward to seeing so many of our ECA members and friends! The evening includes cocktails and hors d'oeuvres followed by awards and general announcements, the Annual Meeting, dinner, and dessert. As part of the evening's festivities, we will honor Joel M. Howard III from member firm Couch White, LLP as the recipient of this year's Special Recognition Award! Congratulations, Joel! A highly respected attorney, Joel was in law school when he began his construction industry career in the late 1960s as a member of the General Building Contractors’ (GBC) staff. Following law school and time in the Army, he returned to GBC for several years before going into private practice working almost exclusively on construction industry matters. His legal practice has covered the full gamut of topics, including labor issues, construction contracts, competitive building construction disputes, arbitration, trials, and appeals. Through these past 50 years, along with providing counsel to ECA and its members, Joel has also served on ECA’s Board of Directors. Join us in honoring Joel and celebrating another successful year in a beautiful and unique setting. All Members (Owners, Partners, Officers, Managers), and their spouses, Supervisory Employees, and guests are encouraged to take part in this event.
