NYS M/WBE Certification and Its Impact on Our Industry

Join Capital District NAWIC for an MWBE Certification presentation on Tuesday, November 14 at the Building Industry Center (6 Airline Drive, Albany).
 
James Youngs, Partner at Hancock Estabrook, LLP, will lead a discussion on New York’s M/WBE Certification and its impact on the construction industry. He will discuss the application process, denials (certification and recertification), and the appeals process. Topics include new legislation, the untimeliness of process, and why women owners are a target.
