The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) released several new resources last week to protect workers from extreme heat. The new resources include: an updated fact sheet that addresses how to recognize and respond to heat illness symptoms; a new fact sheet to help identify risk factors that may cause workers to be more at risk for heat injury and illness; a new fact sheet on preventing heat illness and injury through proper hydration; and a new fact sheet with information on preventative steps, signs and symptoms and actions to take during a heat illness emergency.
