National Construction Safety Week kicks off on Monday. Created by the Construction Industry Safety Initiative (CISI), the purpose is to "collectively raise the awareness of the construction industry's continuing commitment to eliminating worker injury, and to clearly communicate its dedication to a shared culture of care and concern and the belief that every week must be Safety Week." This year’s theme is Strong Voices, Safe Choices. Although safety is a topic that goes beyond one week, Safety Week is a great opportunity to remind your team about the little things that can keep everyone safe. This year's Safety Week focuses on empowering every person at every level to have the confidence to speak up and act to improve safety in the workplace. With this theme, industry leaders strive toward work environments built on mutual respect and trust at all levels. We recommend that you use each day of the week to cover different aspects of safety culture within your company.
