Two unions recently announced leadership changes. Locally, the Operating Engineers announced that Jonathan Lanse has been promoted to the position of Business Manager. He replaces Mike Lyons, who will continue on as a Business Agent with the Local. Lanse has been a member of the IUOE for more than 25 years and most recently served as a Business Agent out of the District 832 office in Rochester. On the international level, Tom Flynn has been appointed to the position of Second General Vice President of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters. Flynn had served as the Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, before taking on the role of the International’s General Secretary-Treasurer in 2020.
