The Carpenters Albany Training Center is offering three classes this month to enhance its members' skills. Encourage your employees to attend one or more of these sessions. Space is limited. The Training Center is located at 16 Corporate Circle, Albany, NY 12203. DOORS & HARDWARE This hands-on course covers all aspects of door and frame preparation and installation. In addition, industry standards and codes for hardware installation will be covered. This is an 8-hour introductory class that will be held over two days Class Schedule • July 19, 2022 @4:30 - 8:30 p.m. • July 20, 2022 @4:30 - 8:30 p.m. ACOUSTICAL CEILINGS 1 This hands-on course introduces students to codes and industry standards related to exposed-grid ceiling installations. Topics covered are materials identification, job planning, print reading, laser technology, layout, and installation of exposed-grid ceilings. Class Schedule • July 19, 2022 @4:30 - 8:30 p.m. • July 21, 2022 @4:30 - 8:30 p.m. DRYWALL PRODUCTION This 8-hour class teaches methods of stud and drywall layout to minimize waste and maximize productivity for the installer. Members will practice cutting and setting materials to reduce steps to the finish product. This is not an introductory class. Students should have some prior Drywall experience. (Note there is also a 24-hour course available that can be arranged with enough enrollment.)
