The North Atlantic States Carpenters Training Fund and the Sisters in the Brotherhood are again offering a Pre-Apprentice Program for women, which can lead to a five-year apprenticeship with the Carpenters Union. The Sisters are particularly supportive of women and minorities who never thought about carpentry as a career. The next information sessions will be held next week on Thursday, March 23. The information sessions will explain more about the program and answer questions. The program runs for eight weeks and upon successful completion, participants gain direct entry into the full apprentice program. The Pre-Apprentice Program allows for a trial period to find out if carpentry fits the participants' career path. Registration for the information sessions is now open online here.
