Next week, March 5-11, is NAWIC's Women in Construction Week. The focus of WIC Week is to highlight women as a visible component of the construction industry. This year's WIC Week theme is “Many Paths, One Mission,” and NAWIC has a number of events planned that you can participate in virtually: Saturday, March 4 – WIC Week Kick Off Monday, March 6 – WIC Hot Topic Panel Thursday, March 9 – “Culture of Care” (virtual breakfast) Saturday, March 11 – WIC Week Toast & Recap For more information and to sign up, click here. NAWIC has been helping women for 70 years take advantage of the opportunities in construction. Establishing a network base, mentoring, providing educational and professional opportunities for women in construction is the common goal within the organization. The U.S. DOL is also offering a webinar on March 9, 2023, entitled “Building Futures Together: Engaging Women in Construction. The program will include discussions on women’s professional organizations, community organizations, and testimonies from women in construction.
