Eastern Contractors Association was proud to be a part of the first-ever Signing Day event held by the Capital Region BOCES program earlier this week. The event was a celebration of BOCES students who were signing letters of intent for an apprenticeship, a job offer or advanced training in the skilled trades post-graduation. ECA member firms A.O.W. Construction, LLC, James H. Maloy, Inc., and Kamco Supply Corporation of New England were in attendance to receive letters of intent. Students also signed letters of intent to join an apprenticeship program with Carpenters Local No. 291, Laborers Local No. 157, and Operating Engineers Local 158. ECA President and CEO Todd Helfrich joined NY Commissioner of Labor Roberta Reardon, and officials from BOCES in welcoming 16 students, along with their families, to the trades.
