On Friday, January 11, ECA President and CEO Todd Helfrich and Vice Chairwoman Alisa Henderson presented a $1000 check to assist with the ongoing operations of the Courtesy Room. The McKenna Courtesy Room provides media entertainment, snacks and support in a comfortable, friendly environment to every member of our military who travel through Albany International Airport. The facility was created through a cooperation of the Albany County Airport Authority and the Tri-County Council of Vietnam Era Veterans. Named in honor of Capt. McKenna, who died while aiding one of his Marines in Iraq, the courtesy room has seen over 38,000 service men and women through its doors since opening nearly nine years ago. This is ECA's eighth year in supporting the Courtesy Room. WNYT covered the donation which you can watch here. See pictures from today's check presentation here.
