Eastern Contractors Association is proud to announce that member firm Architectural Glass and Metal, Inc. (AGM) was awarded an international safety award earlier today from the Finishing Contractors Association International (FCA). AGM took top honors in the architectural glass and metal with 50,001-100,000 hours worked category. This is AGM's second time winning the Contractors Recognizing Excellence in Safety Training (CREST) Award. Mike Haverly from AGM (center) accepts his company's award from the FCA Chairman and a representative from Sherwin Williams, the award's sponsor. CONGRATULATIONS! The CREST Award is designed to objectively evaluate contractors based on key leading and lagging measures of safety. These are metrics associated with safety efforts that cause excellent safety performance and the resulting data that matches the safety performance (i.e. low injury/illness rates). This includes levels of safety training, on-going safety practices, impact of the safety program on the company and data collected from the company's OSHA Form 300A Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses. FCA International represents the largest community of finishing contractors in North America engaged in architectural glass and metal, drywall finishing, floor covering, industrial coating, painting and wallcovering and sign work. This is the ninth year that FCA has sponsored the CREST Awards.
